Making The Familiar Strange
Blog created for Critical Identity Studies Class "Local Colonialism" in the Spring of 2017. This blog consists of eight posts that entail eight of our chosen locations of Beloit College that tell the true histories of these locations. This work is to dismantle the familiar narratives that the college sells to its students. Proposal to acquire art for Wright Museum of Art. Written for the Fall 2017 class of Black Lives Matter. A piece by this artist will be acquired by Beloit College for the Fall of 2018.
Honours Thesis for the Department of Anthropology. An ethnographic project that looks at how institutions of higher education are working towards diversity and the "equity speedbumps" on the way there.
Proposal to receive funding for an art show on campus that lead to fundraising efforts for the organization Black & Pink. Received full funding for the project.
