ABOUT ME
As a genderqueer trans person, I automatically disrupt a space by just being in the room. This was something a professor once told me and has stuck with me ever since. I realized when I came out as transgender the world was not made for me to exist comfortably so instead of being pushed to the sides of the room, I declared and changed spaces so that they could include me or, at least, so that they could not ignore me. This is a process that I am still working on today. I hope to continue changing systems so that more people feel heard, comfortable and succeed in spaces that were not made for them.
