EMRYS HODKINSON

I am Emrys Hodkinson (they/them pronouns). In May 2018, I graduated from Beloit with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Critical Identity Studies. I am currently looking for work where I will get to use my ethnographic research skills. I currently work in a retail tea store and found a passion for customer relations and consumer strategy.
With my education, I am a trained anthropologist and critical identity studies scholar from Beloit College. I learned how to study people in order to create applied changes for the betterment of society. I have gained skills on how to study power structures and how they operate within a given context. I have used these skills to implement programs on campus. My research and presentation interests are in Transgender Identity and decentering whiteness in LGBTQ+ spaces.
During my time at College, I helped found the Trans Task Force and have created and edit a SafeZone curriculum that focuses on the college's needs as well as making sure the training touches on race, socioeconomic status, and cultural differences in relation to LGBTQ+ issues.
